The Aim
To increase awareness of JERSEY BOYS and boost both newspaper and ticket sales.
The Challenge
To find new ways to utilise sponsor partnerships and to maximise exposure for the show.
The Result
Demand was high, resulting in an extra 50,000 copies of the dvd being produced to meet expectations.
The Creative
Benefiting from a major partnership with Melbourne’s News Limited titles – the Herald Sun, Sunday Herald Sun and MX – the JERSEY BOYS joint promotional activities included an introductory 4-page, full-colour guide to the show distributed in newspapers; a specially-produced “behind the scenes at JERSEY BOYS” dvd which was promoted in all News Limited papers, at point-of-sale and across the Nine Network. Also 150,000 copies of the dvd were distributed across Victoria on the weekend prior to opening night.
