The Challenge

To design a new, fresh look that captures the spirit and special event status of Parky – the one man show. To create artwork that works across a range of media and complements all Parky promotional activity.

The Creative

Working with existing images of Michael Parkinson ACMN created the new-look Parky imagery for his one-man shows across Australia and New Zealand.

As Sir Michael Parkinson is so well known, it was important that the hero artwork kept his face clear and identifiable, but had a contemporary twist to the design.

Working his image into the stack of televisions was an innovative way to visualise his “life on air”.

The new look was so successful that Hachette-Livre publishers decided to use the new image as the cover art for the paperback release of his best-selling autobiography. Other Parkinson projects through Warner Music and uk•tv also feature versions of the ACMN design.
